DANC 270 - Dance Education I: Introduction to Dance Education

Credits: 2

An overview of state and national standards, theoretical and philosophical perspectives that shape current practices for teaching dance in K-12 environments, and arts/dance education advocacy.

Prerequisites: DANC 150 and 160, unless special permission is granted by instructor. Not open to freshmen. It is recommended that students have completed at least three semesters of technique.
