Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior Minor

The minor in Health Promotion, Education and Behavior (HPEB) requires a minimum of 18 credit hours. This minor provides a basic foundation for students desiring preparation in health promotion, health education, health behavior change, and disease prevention. The minor in HPEB may be used in combination with many majors to enhance student’s career opportunities and as preparation for graduate study in a variety of health and health-related disciplines. The HPEB minor is compatible with various majors such as, but not limited to: exercise science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science and international studies, nursing, women’s studies, physical education, and instruction and teacher education. A minimum of 18 credit hours is required from the following curriculum. Students must complete courses with a grade of ‘C’ or higher.
