Secondary Education Mathematics Minor

Return to: Programs A-Z The Secondary Education Mathematics Minor is designed to prepare students in quantitatively oriented majors (outside of Mathematics) for the ‘fifth-year’ Secondary Education Master of Teaching (M.T.) program. Completion of the Minor does not guarantee admission into the M.T. program. Contact the Office of Student Affairs in the College of Education for information on the M.T., its admission requirements, and possible additional course work requirements for some majors.
Prerequisites Courses:

MATH 241 - Vector Calculus
MATH 300 - Transition to Advanced Mathematics

MATH 531 - Foundations of Geometry
MATH 546 - Algebraic Structures I
MATH 554 - Analysis I
Note:
MATH 554 has an additional pre-requisite beyond the required courses for the minor.
